This personal project was the result of a homework assignment for the course Master Motion Design by Ben Marriott. Ben was a huge inspiration for me when I first started pursuing motion graphics full time and when I learned he was launching a motion design mastery course I made sure I was part of the first cohort.

This lesson was all about match cuts. They are a very useful tool for transitioning smoothly from scene to scene.

One of my hobbies is playing guitar, and I often refer to her as my axe. For this project, I loved the idea of using that play on words to match cut between a figurative axe and a real axe.
