Inspired by a matte black water bottle, I set out to explore the intricacies of designing products and product advertising in 3D using matte black. Black and white match my brand, and I love coffee, and so this made-up coffee brand, But First…, was born.

Blender 3D has been a joy for me to learn and this project put all of my knowledge so far to use. 3D modeling, texturing, lighting, and animation all come into play with this minimalist design.

A refill… or two

After creating the original looping ad, I wanted to get a closer look at some of the details. The contrast between the shiny lid and the matte cup is especially invigorating.
