I designed and animated this project in Blender. The look and feel of this project were inspired by EVIDENT MIRROR by Ash Thorp. My original score, inspired by the score for Marty Supreme by Daniel Lopatin, was written in Logic Pro. VO and sound design were recorded and finished in Audition.

When I first set out to learn 3D animation in Blender, one of my first creations was But First… Coffee. After a few years, I wanted to give the brand a refresh using everything I’ve learned and the skills I now possess.

This is a spec post for a fictional coffee brand called “But first…,” inspired by the “Matte Black Everything” philosophy of tech YouTuber Marques Brownlee.
